About linklings.club
This project is run by Moxie Moshpit and was launched in February 2026.
After making the decision to leave social media in favour of my personal website, it become blatantly clear that it was no longer as simple as typing a keyword into a search field, following a hashtag, or opening the replies to find new people to follow and befriend.
While I've amassed a great collection of folk with their own websites though general browsing as well as joining and surfing webrings, cliques, listings and forums, it took me years to find some of these people. I spent a lot of time clicking around aimlessly, just hoping to find things I connected to others on.
I wanted to bring back the ease of social media-style discoverability without all of the downsides that come with actually being on social media, and thus linklings.club was born!
Technical Stuff
This site runs on Django, was designed & coded by hand, and is completely AI-free.
Fonts used are Fantasque Sans Mono (text), Font Awesome (icons) and Noto Color Emoji (emoji).
Tooltips are handled by Balloon.css.
